Harmonize: I look for the harmony in all spiritual belief systems and seek to add my voice to the music of the Earth. I seek peace with myself and with all people.
Religious institutions seem to splinter regularly and form new factions and even whole new religions. There seem to be branches of every religious system, and the reasons for the multitude of beliefs often seem irrelevant, at least to an observer. To propose that we look for the harmony in religious organizations seems quixotic in nature. How in the world can we persuade all these religions to get along? The only hope of finding harmony seems to be through recognizing the things we have in common, not the things that tear us apart and cause us to fight with one another. Each religion has — or hopefully had at one time — a basis in spirituality. There seems to be some charlatans who appear to be involved for the money, power, influence, and fame. They have their reward, and perhaps some of their followers benefit, but without spirituality as the basis of their faith, their power, money, influence, and fame will die with them — and in some drastic cases, their followers might literally die with them, too. Religious Recovery not only hopes to heal individuals from their hurts, but whenever possible we hope to give people the tools they need to discern what religious institutions will work best for the path they are on. We don’t accomplish this by judging religions, but we hope our words and thoughts can help people discern what path works for them and which ones do not, which ones will help them connect with The Divine and which ones will not. We encourage each person to look for the harmony within each path.
