One Decision Away

The decision we make to name our experience as religious abuse in order to overcome it is a huge decision, and it can bring us to a whole new life. We do not take this decision lightly because it can totally transform our world, and at the beginning, that transformation can seem destructive and perhaps even wrong. Leaving behind an old religion that has manipulated and abused us, even though it is the right thing to do, may cause us to lose friends, family, social status, careers, and even more, but once we’ve been exposed to the Light, we will find it difficult to live in the darkness any longer.
