Lasting Peace

​Perfect peace is perhaps something only achieved in the afterlife. We strive for peace, but it often eludes us. Sometimes I determine that I will be more peaceful and less vulnerable to reacting in the moment, only to discover that when the moment comes, my peace has vanished. Part of what it means to live in peace, is to accept ourselves the way The Divine created us, and to accept everyone, everywhere, and in every place as also divinely created and worthy of our love and admiration. The closer we can come to achieving that goal, the closer we will come to knowing a lasting peace that is perhaps not of this world.
